Here are the latest features in GroupCamp Project:

• Administrators and Managers can now export tasks in Excel format from the Tasks application in a project.
• Comments now support HTML formatting. Your comments will now be in rich text formatting when you reply to an email notification from GroupCamp.
• Project search field in the top menu bar.

Exporting tasks into an Excel file in your project

Administrators and Managers can now export their tasks directly from their project. By clicking on the link in the Tasks app as shown below the full set of data available in the Tasks app for a project will be generated as an Excel file and downloaded.

Please note that the Tasks export file is the same as the one generated when a project is exported.

We are happy to announce that the new Gmail contextual gadget for Google Apps from GroupCamp is out. The latest version will allow you to add follow-up tasks on emails with the following add-ons:
- your email body will keep its formatting
- the email and all its attached files will be linked to the task

You still have the ‘New task’ button in the gadget which allows a task to be created but without saving the email and its attached files in the project. The ‘New task’ button also did not allow the formatting of the email body to be preserved.

With the new Save email button, you can now archive the email into a project then add a follow-up task on that email.
Once you click on the Save email button, the list of projects will be displayed. Choose the project in which to save your email. Please refer to the blog entry on the save email feature in GroupCamp’s Gmail gadget.

GroupCamp’s new Gmail contextual gadget for Google Apps accounts is out. This latest version of the Gmail gadget allows you to easily share an email within your project or archive the content of the email without leaving your Gmail interface.

 

We are happy to announce that we have designed a new Free plan for GroupCamp Project.
This brand new Free plan is designed for young startups, education and non-profit organisations. The free online project management plan comes without any time limitation provided account users sign in at least once over a period of 3 months. Inactive accounts will be cancelled following 2 email prior notices.
The changes to the free project management plan are as follows:

How many times have you wondered whether your web-based application supported a particular feature and where exactly that feature was located in your app.
The GroupCamp feature search app now available for GroupCamp Project addresses that particular issue. You can search for a particular feature within your app and by clicking on the search results the feature search app takes you directly to the relevant screen.

How to switch from the classic desktop version to the mobile web app version

We are happy to announce that you can now manage your online projects with your iPhone or Android smartphones.

This first version is still in BETA. We are still fine tuning this version on Android. So please send us your feedback (using the online form or using the help button within your account)

How to access GroupCamp's mobile web app : launch your mobile browser on your smartphone, enter your account web address or URL. When you access your sign in page : use your GroupCamp ID to sign in, or click on the Google Sign in buttons if you are a Gmail or Google Apps user Click on sign in.

This first mobile web app version of GroupCamp Project is designed to improve your personal productivity within your online collaborative projects.
