GroupCamp’s new Gmail contextual gadget for Google Apps accounts is out. This latest version of the Gmail gadget allows you to easily share an email within your project or archive the content of the email without leaving your Gmail interface.
For GroupCamp users not using Gmail for Google Apps please note that you can still forward emails to an email dropbox address for your project.
As shown in the image below, you now have a new ‘Save email’ button in the Gmail contextual gadget.

To save an email in one of your online projects, click on the Save email button.
The email with its attached files will be saved in the Files application of the selected project. If there are attached files, the email body will be added as a comment to the files.

Please note that once the task is saved you can add a task in the selected project on the saved email if you want to assign a follow-up task to one of your team members.
The Gmail Gadget is built to avoid double entries. If another member of your project has already saved the email, the gadget will display the information accordingly.
