Send files by email to your online project dropbox address, auto-save mode in Wiki
Sending email to your online projects via a project dropbox address
We are happy to announce that GroupCamp Project now allows you to send an email to project. How does it work ? For each project you (the Administrator) can define a dropbox email address for each project. In the Files application of a project you can customize the dropbox email address. Copy (Cc or Bcc) the dropbox address in emails that are related to your project. The content of the email will be uploaded directly to your online project. In the Files application, the email will be displayed as new ‘email’ type file. The subject of the email is added in the description field for the new file. Please note that you can download the email in plain text format from the Files application.

If your email should contain an attached file, we will store the attached file in the application and add the email body as a comment to the file.
This new feature has long been requested by project members who basically wanted to do 2 things:
- Archive a relevant email within a project
- Cc a project dropbox email address in Minutes of Meeting that are relevant to a project. The contents are them automatically saved within the project and all project members can benefit from all the online capabilities of GroupCamp : find emails more easily, search for related files, add comments on the email.
Wiki auto-save mode
This is a long-awaited feature for our users who create or update pages by typing directly within the rich text editor. We are happy to announce that the Wiki now has an auto-save mode when a page is being updated. The 'Save now' button will be activated when automatically and periodically. As always the time of the latest save will be displayed underneath the Save button.
